The food was bomb, we decided to stop here after the sista strut for breast cancer. I had the catfish and grits with a passion fruit martini. My sister had the short beef ribs with grits. The food was delicious. I couldn't finish it all. The music was good. My bartender Keke was good, everything was on point.

My Experience Was Absolutely Wonderful! No Wait- Great Service & More! Best part Of The Experience was Are amazing Bartender / Server Amir. He is definitely the one to request every time you come. Trust me I know I will...he is very attentive and definitely makes sure you want for nothing!

Visited Red Star and pleased to say, it was a delighted time. Kid and I dined during lunch hours on a Saturday. The place was pretty packed by early afternoon. The menu had a southern cuisine type of feel. I ordered the Fried Catfish and Grits. Yummmmy! Kid had her all time favorite waffles and meat(sausage ) as she likes to say lol! We absolutely loved the food and place. Seating had nice spacing amongst the tables and booth surprisingly because the place isn't that big. That was a plus! Our server was fast with our orders and very nice. Pretty simple menu. They had an Dj, he was doing his thang! lol. The live music was a nice touch! Nice little atmosphere. The scenery can be for families, girls date, self date, date night, brunch even bromance whatever, it's that type of vibe. Certainly will be coming back with my little one!

One Tuesday evening around 8:30, I visited this place based on a friend's recommendation for their fried chicken wings. They were really good and came with tasty fresh-cut fries. My husband got catfish and grits... he said" maybe not the best, but they are close!". lol! They also have short ribs that I must try at another time! The atmosphere was lively, like a club, with a DJ playing a mix of music from different eras, appealing to everyone from young to old. The energy is similar to a club with a live DJ pumping it up with al( classic, 90s, 00s, 10s to present R&B (as well as ghetto house, juke, house music),... there were all ages from young folks from 20 to 80. Great vibe ... no cuss words. Very fun!! I recommend!

Had an awesome time!!!!! We got seated right away with a reservation so I recommend making one. As the night went on people weee turned away due to the capacity. The staff were nice although it took a while for someone to serve us. The food was excellent and very flavorful! The drinks were great as well, I had the sangria flight! The sun came with karaoke where everyone had a blast and wasn't afraid to get up and make a fool of themselves. If you want a good time, good drinks and great food, I highly recommend!

It was a Tuesday night and I had a taste for some down home food and I was told this place had great catfish and wings. The catfish did not miss the mark it was fresh, flavorful, moist and the crust was crispy. The wings were flavorful but they were a little dry. The sinful loaded fries were amazing!!! We arrived around 7:00 pm it wasn't crowded but by 8:30 pm the place was full because I learned it was comedy night. We stayed for the comedy it was ok. This restaurant has a Dj and he was was playing a majority of R&B. They also have stand up Karaoke and Sunday brunch. I ordered a drink it was Strong!!! My wait staff was not very attentive and we had to search for her initially just to get silverware to eat our food. Throughout the course of our meal she rarely came to our table. This place gets loud around 8:30 pm but I like the urban vibe. It is a great place for girls or guys night out. They have lots of TVs on throughout the restaurant playing all the sports. If you want a festive lively place to eat with lots of entertainment options then this place is for you.
